EBONY/CURATED has been dealing in contemporary African art since 2007 and runs two spaces — the Loop Street gallery in the Cape Town CBD and a second in Franschhoek. The Cape Town room mixes artists with long exhibition records against people showing for the first or second time, which is a harder programme to run than either on its own.
Loop Street between Church and Shortmarket is the densest single block of galleries in the city; EBONY/CURATED is one of the anchors of it. The gallery opens late for First Thursdays, the CBD's late-opening evening on the first Thursday of every month.
